George, the idea that carbon dioxide is a carcinogen that is harmful to our environment is almost comical. Every time we exhale, we exhale carbon dioxide. Every cow in the world, you know, when they do what they do, you've got more carbon dioxide. And so I think it's clear ...Who needs scientists when you have elected GOP officials?
This is unacceptable. I think it will imprison our kids and grandkids. It will slow our economy. It will slow job growth in America. It's just not, in my opinion, not the way to proceed.Wait ... Wolf, you have to understand, there was no deregulation of anything in the financial services industries. Well, I think the--clearly the most important part is allowing American families and small businesses to keep more of what they earn. If we allow them to keep more of what they earn, they're going to--they're going to spend it, they're going to save it, they're going to invest it, all of which is good for the economy, and they can begin immediately. We don't have to wait for some government program to work or some government check to show up. We can do it quickly.Someone should get the minority leader an economics textbook, and they should do it quickly.
Americans like the president. They want him to succeed. But the things his administration is doing are becoming unpopular.No comment necessary.
When it comes to jobs, the budget, children's health care and other issues, House Republicans have offered what we believe are better solutions to the problems facing middle-class families and small businesses. We will continue to do so in the coming months and hope that White House political operatives abandon their cynical "change the subject" strategy by joining us.My advice? Get elected to the majority if you want anyone to care. The best thing a Republican can do right now is get out of the way while the mess you made of this country and this world is cleaned up.
