David Broder says ...

I understand the reluctance to open a wide-ranging probe of past practices. It seems to me we are better off focusing on cleaning up the policies and practices for the future than trying to settle scores for past actions.
Mr. Broder, I'm not going to mention your hypocrisy. Anyone can read about that at the link. What I want to know is, do laws matter to you? What do we have laws outlawing this stuff if we are just going to ignore them? Torture isn't just bad politics, it is criminal behavior. It is inhuman and it cheapens everything for which this country stands. Those of us on the left don't view this as score settling. We view it as justice.
