Read the link for more. For whatever it's worth, I think Rick Warren is the best of the evangelists, but that's damning with faint praise. He's a guy I want to like, but he wants to have it both ways. He claims that the only reason he supported Prop 8 in California was over the free speech issue, but he's a smart enough man to know that there was no free speech issue. He wants it both ways. He wants to appeal to the hardcore evangelical crowd but at the same time, he wants to appeal to more modern, mainstream liberal types. If he manages to pull that off, he's a freaking magician.
