Sounds like we need to tweak our priorities a bit. Which is probably why "[t]he Navy has plans to build 55 new Littoral Combat Ships to deal with this deficiency." Disarmament indeed. So what's got Inhofe all agitated? Seems like the past decade has done a pretty convincing job presenting a fundamental shift in warfare for the new millenium. And Inhofe is a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, so he's aware (technically at least).

Well waddya know? Pork enthusiast Inhofe ($91.6 million last time around) pushed through a $500 million BAE cannon program to be built in Oklahoma that's cut in the proposed budget.

The cannon? Not needed by the Army. Sen. Inhofe is stupid, we know that. Ask him about the environment for proof. On this issue, he's simply a liar.
